Welcome to the world of puppets!   My name is Jeanne Leckert.   I have been performing with puppets since 1983.   I got my masters degree from West Virginia University in puppetry.   I work mostly with hand puppets, but I use some shadow puppets and marionettes as well.   I make my own puppets and often sell them.   Here are some pictures of puppets I've sold in the past.

I have taught graduate-level classes in puppetry at Trinity College and The University Of Virginia.   My students are often teachers, clergy, nurses, and other professionals who work with children seeking a new, useful communication skill.

I am also a first grade teacher at Gesher Jewish Day School in Fairfax, VA.   I often use puppets in my teaching and I find that many students respond positively to these gentle friends.

I have performed all over the greater Washington, DC Area at many diverse venues including:
